Slowing down to read and write

Wow, 2025 was a lovely whirlwind of a year, what with the release of two book titles and enjoying many fun events. Now in 2026, I’m slowing down a bit, recharging, reading, and starting a new writing project.

SCBWI-Midsouth Fall Conference

I am so excited to attend my first Midsouth conference (Kentucky/Tennessee region of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators). I’m going as an attendee (not presenting) and looking forward to the camaraderie and inspiration these in-person events always bring, especially while I’m figuratively stumbling around in the dark starting new writing projects.
